The Role of GCED in Rebuilding Communities: Peaceful World and Empowered Learners”.

Global Citizenship Education (GCED) is the response of UNESCO to the threats to international peace and sustainability and challenges that are currently present in the world such as increased interconnectedness, violations of human rights, inequality, and poverty. GCED works by empowering learners of all ages to understand that these threats and challenges are not just local issues but global and by instilling to them the relevance of becoming active promoters of more peaceful, tolerant, inclusive, secure, and sustainable societies.
