Group of Teachers urge President Duterte Immediate Release of SRI 2021 and PBB 2020

In this post, we are sharing with you the latest update on the release of SRI 2021 and PBB 2020. Please the read full details below.

ACT lamented that President Duterte has “yet to issue an administrative order” for the grant of SRI which is a year-end benefit granted to all government employees since 2019 sourced from the savings of each agency.

The group said that the release of DepEd’s PBB for the year 2020 “remains pending” with the AO 25 Task Force who reviews the performance of each government agency.

Mr. Raymond Basilio, ACT Secretary-General, is urging Duterte's government to order the release of Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for 2021 and Performance-Based Bonus (PBB 2020).

Basilio also stressed that teachers have been longing for these incentives especially in areas where the recent typhoon hit.

"The slow and dismal government response to the victims of typhoon Odette brings more gloom to lives of our people at this otherwise joyous time. Aid is urgently needed and the least Pres. Duterte can do for teachers and education support personnel is to direct the release of benefits that already have fund sources,” said Basilio.

For the grant of 2021 SRI, the president is yet to issue an Administrative Order. This incentive is given to all eligible DepEd employees since 2019.

As for the PBB 2020, it is still under review and validation of AO 25.

2021 SRI & 2020 PBB‼️‼️

ACT pressed President Duterte to swiftly order the grant of Service Recognition Incentive 2021 (SRI 2021) worth P10,000 to all government workers. The group is also pushing for the release of Performance-based Bonus 2020 (PBB 2020) to employees of the Department of Education (DepEd) — especially to those in the provinces of Visayas and Mindanao who have been hardly hit by the typhoon.
