Look! DICT announced another Free Webinar on The Role of Cybersecurity in National Economic Development. 

A one-day free webinar organized by the USAID Better Access and Connectivity (BEACON).

They are inviting everyone to participate in a Cybersecurity Month dialogue on Wednesday, October 27that 10am Manila time (UTC+8), highlighting the importance of digital security policy and programs in the context of economic development and infrastructure resiliency in the Philippines.

Cybersecurity issues impact all facets of a national economy, including government services and operations, private sector activity and local government services. Growing risks and the rising incidence of attacks, however, dissuade internet adoption and digitalization, and act as a drag on economic growth. Experts on internet development, economic policy, critical economic sectors and information security will discuss the challenges and the corresponding measures needed to improve cybersecurity at local and national levels.
