Philippine International Quincentennial Conference 2021 Session 2.
Session 2: Ilustrado Historiography
Convener: Philippine Historical Association Collaborating
Institutions: Ateneo de Manila University
Rationale:
Since the time of the Reformist Movement (1870s-1890s), Filipino scholars have been reinterpreting Philippine history from a nationalist/Malay/Asian stand point, so to speak the struggle to an ideal National History.
This session extols the development of the research, writings, and understanding on the world of our ancestors.
