RECONSTITUTION OF THE DEPED PROVIDENT FUND NATIONAL BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND DESIGNATION OF THE LEGAL ADVISOR

1. Pursuant to Section 3 (Governance) of Administrative Order (AO) No. 279 dated May 5, 1992 titled, Prescribing Rules and Regulations for the Establishment and Administration of a Provident Fund of Agencies Covered by Section 41 of the General Provisions of Republic Act No. 7180, and the subsequent activities conducted in accordance to, the Department of Education (DepEd) Provident Fund (PF) National Board of Trustees is reconstituted as follows:

2. Consistent with AO 279, elected and appointed members shall serve for a term of one year, unless their appointments are sooner revoked, and shall perform on a hold over capacity thereafter, until either their appointments are renewed or a new member is elected and/or appointed to replace them.

3. Assistant Secretary Alberto T. Escobarte is likewise designated as the Legal Advisor of the DepEd PF who will provide legal assistance to the Board on policy-related concerns. Atty. Anne Rachel C. Miguel will remain as the Board Secretary, and perform functions, such as, but not limited to, assisting the Board in the preparation of the conduct of its meetings, ensuring the completeness and correctness of the Board resolutions and other documents necessary for the management of the DepEd PF.
