DepEd will conduct virtual activities for Science and Technology Fair for SY 2020-2021

 
May 11, 2021-To highlight the role of science and research in addressing current global challenges and issues, the Department of Education (DepEd) will conduct a virtual National Science and Technology Fair (NSTF) for the academic year 2020-2021.
 
Carrying out the theme, ′′ Science, Research, and Technology: Abundance in a Stable and Developed Society," NTSF 2021 aims to showcase student s' stability, innovation, and creativity despite the global crisis through virtual Science fair and competitions.
 
′′ We cannot talk about quality education without also teaching or nurturing our learners in the intricacies of technology and communication, creativity, and invention," Secretary of Education Leonor Magtolis Briones emphasizes, while mentioning the importance of implementing NSTF this year Of studying.
 
NSTF 2021 also wants to demonstrate student s' ability and creativity in providing solutions to achieve sustainable development.
 
Competitions are 
(1) Science - the production of original video competition focused on a science concept and
(2) #SciTokperiments - A Tiktok Science Experiment competition.
 
Meanwhile, according to the Bureau of Curriculum and Development-Curriculum Standards Development Division statement that entries and competition results will provide a snapshot of what students are doing at this time and what their actual subjects are. That was learned.
 
Apart from various contests, virtual NSTF will flag some of the activities such as virtual exhibitions, virtual fora, workshops, career talks, technology and project launch, and film screening.
Each region is encouraged to participate in each competition and follow its rules.
 
Teaching and division level screening will be conducted May 24-June 11, 2021, while the Regional Level Science and Technology Fair will begin June 21.
 
Submission of entries for NSTF will be on July 9, with culmination activity and awarding ceremony on July 27-30.
