DepEd central office has released Teaching Guide for Catch-up Fridays in order to bridge learning gaps among grade school and high school students.

The Department of Education (DepEd) launched the "Catch-up Fridays" program on January 12. This initiative dedicates every Friday throughout the school year to focused sessions on reading, values, peace, and health education.
As per the memorandum, all Fridays are designated as Catch-up Fridays, prioritizing the implementation of the National Reading Program (NRP) in the morning and emphasizing Values, Health, and Peace Education in the afternoon. Additionally, the Homeroom Guidance Program (HGP) is also incorporated into Catch-up Fridays.
