Without enough health care workers, we will be unable to curb the pandemic. What are the immediate and long-term plans for this?

To sustain the need for health human resources --- we need to make sure that we are continuously training new health care professionals - not at some future time, but now.

But are we ready to open our schools for face-to-face learning for health care workers?
Many of our health care workers have children who are still in school. Some are following in the footsteps of their parents pursuing medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, allied medical professional training. At a time when more health professionals are needed to meet the continuing and growing needs of our people, how are our schools preparing to ensure that our country is not depleted of health professionals?

In this webinar of STOP COVID DEATHS, we will take a closer look at how some schools for health professionals are preparing to re-open and sustain the learning needs of the next generation of health care workers. We will discuss the many challenges and constraints, but will also celebrate the innovations and creative ways by which our teachers and faculty are ensuring that our aspiring doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, medical technologists among others -- are able to acquire knowledge as well as skills in treating and caring for patients, particularly in the complex context of the pandemic. We will look at how students might be exposed on their way to school and back; dormitory life, testing - and how we can keep them safe as a community.

Enriquez, School of Nursing, Our Lady of Fatima University; Dr. Maria Cristina Damasco-Padolina, Centro Escolar University. Reactors are students: Rani Ailyna Domingo, UP Medicine Class 2022; and Daniel Louise E. Puspos, Dentistry COMPASS Chapter, CEU.

Join your credible on-line community as we discuss a growing concern that requires national attention, resources and substantial investments from the highest levels of government. Without good options and facilities for training health professionals in a safe way -- it will be very difficult to provide health care to our population and can create more complex problems in the future.
