DepEd In-person end-of-school-year rites SY 2021-2022 will be allowed

JUST IN: In-person end-of-school-year rites will be allowed in schools in areas under Alert Levels 1 and 2. 

In schools in areas under Alert Levels 1 and 2, the Department of Education (DepEd) has announced that in-person end-of-school-year rites will be permitted.

On Friday, March 11, the Department of Education (DepEd) declared that in-person graduation and recognition rites will be permitted in schools in areas under Alert Levels 1 and 2.Education authorities said in a video conference that these schools can determine whether to hold restricted face-to-face graduation or recognition celebrations.

Pwede po na maging hybrid face-to-face, pwede rin virtual depende doon sa kalagayan ng kinalalagyan ng mga paaralan nila at sa konsultasyon sa mga magulang at LGUs,” said DepEd Assistant Secretary Alma Torio.

The present school year for public schools will end on June 24.

The DepEd said end-of-school-year rites should be held any day from June 27 to July 2.

But for schools that extended the school year due to class suspensions, the ceremonies can be conducted later from July 4 to 9 or July 11 to 16.
