In this post, we are sharing with you the information about the upcoming International Virtual Event organized by the Department of Education it is called "Pasundayag".
Pasundayag: 2021 International Day of World’s Indigenous Peoples Celebration
We cordially invite everyone to the Pasundayag: 2021 International Day of World’s Indigenous Peoples Celebration that will be held on 9 of August 2021, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM (Philippine Standard Time). A simultaneous live stream will be available on DepEd Philippines and DepEd-International Cooperation Office official Facebook pages.
This event is organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) through the International Cooperation Office (ICO) and the Indigenous Peoples Education Office (IPsEO), together with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) and other partner organizations.
‘Pasundayag’ is a Filipino term that means to showcase or to present with so much willingness and pride. With this regard, the Pasundayag 2021 will highlight positivism and celebrate the initial gains of the long-fought revolution for the indigenous sector by holding a virtual cultural show and discourse.
Through this presentation, it is hoped that we provide a platform to the indigenous peoples to take pride in what they have and at the same time allow them to send their message across communities IPs and Non-IPs to foster cultural understanding, respect, tolerance, peace, and unity.
